Safe therapeutic relationship and effective methods

In my practice I combine effective methods of work, individually tailored to the needs of the client.

A safe therapeutic relationship

In my view, only a safe, accepting and warm therapeutic relationship provides a framework in which emotions can be freely expressed. It is in this context that change takes place. My office is a safe place - regardless of your orientation, race, background or experiences - you can just be yourself here.

EMDR and Brainspotting

My main methods. I use them because, in my opinion, they are the most effective in addressing the causes of the difficulties, not just the symptoms.
These are psychophysiological methods, in which we focus on the body's reactions and visual fixation points. Effective in working on trauma, including so-called complex trauma (e.g., early life neglect, characteristic of DDA). Allow you to better cope with difficult emotions or feelings of disconnection from emotions, change emotional reaction patterns. If you feel that your reactions are sometimes out of your control, this method is for you.

Schema therapy

Therapy based on the idea that often our problems are rooted in our beliefs and patterns of emotional reactions - that is, patterns. Particularly useful for problems that manifest in relationships - if you notice that you are once again in a relationship that causes you pain, this therapy is for you. We use chair work and imaginal techniques, among others.

Body work

Our reactions are written not only in our minds, but also in our bodies. Sometimes "through the head" it is difficult for us to get to the source of our problems. That's why in therapy I use movement, breathing and focus on body reactions.

Mindfulness

If you slow down and focus on what is happening to you in a difficult moment, you may quickly find a solution yourself. In therapy, you learn together how to pay attention to your needs and emotions, without judging them, and how to build distance from thoughts that arise. The method is helpful for anxiety disorders, negative thoughts about yourself, feeling compelled to perform specific activities, feeling "behind the glass" or emotional emptiness.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy

One of the best researched therapeutic currents. It is based on the premise that our difficulties do not stem directly from the situation, but from our interpretation of the situation. Changing this interpretation leads to a change in emotional responses. Effective in treating a wide range of psychological problems (depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, PTSD).
